If Wisdom Were a Currency, What Would It Be?

If Wisdom Were a Currency, What Would It Be?

King Solomon instructs us to “Acquire wisdom as if it were a hidden treasure.”

The other night (and I will not go into what I believed caused this), I felt as if I was one with God (signified by the concept of truth). My thoughts seemed verified, and I resolved any inconsistencies correctly. Through a concentrated effort to connect to my higher self, I viewed this conviction as an intangible currency. Something invaluable. Something I needed to share with the world. So here I am now, getting it all down. What was the key to this discovery? Vulnerability.  I discovered that if we make every conscious effort to consider anything in its most vulnerable state (in this case, ME), we will arrive at the verifiable truth that cannot be disputed, just as the uncomfortable work brings about the most significant rewards.

The absolute truth can only be discovered when painted against a backdrop of lowliness. We will discover the truth by using the harsh but effective system of “make it worse!”. Whatever is left over after such scrutiny can be considered the truth.  To better understand all this, we should consider the meaning of objectivity, which is the truth independent from individual subjectivity (bias caused by one’s perception or emotions).  Objectivity is identifying absolute, objective truth despite our opinions or feelings.

An example, I’ll use my real-life instances again. It is not perfect, but it will do the trick. The other day I was reading such fascinating stuff that I shared with some of my group chats. This “stuff” was excellent life advice. About 12 hours later, I violated that advice and caught myself in the act. (Hypocrisy) You see, when you catch yourself in violation of the “right way”, you can ascertain that what you were doing was wrong.  Right and wrong is always subjective, but painted against the backdrop of your choosing, in this case, be it righteous or wicked, you can determine the truth.  The ideal way to find truth in all that is subjective is by being Subjectively Objective!

The currency of wisdom can be equated to the number of Subjective Truths. Some facts can’t be disputed, although they’re subject to interpretation.  Advice: Own your truth, and create your reasonings. Add them to your bank account of wisdom. One day they will serve you.
